Phewwww!!  It has been years since I’ve poured words into this sacred space.  Recently, I sat in conversation with a dear friend who shared his vision of starting a weekly devotional.  After reading his first devotional  and while marinating on the words from our conversation, it stirred something deep within me—an echo of a dream I once held—a blog I began once, as a space where my thoughts flowed freely, where my heart found expression, where I could simply be me!!  As I process that moment, I realize it wasn’t ordinary—it was divine alignment.  That conversation awakened a whisper in my spirit, gently reminding me of something precious I left incomplete.  I realized then that it was time to examine the areas of my life where beautiful beginnings have been paused, not because they lost their worth, but because life moved, and I forgot to carry them with me.  My Spirit led me to reflect on my incomplete cycles of action—those sacred seeds I once planted and left untended, unnourished.  I heard within me: It is time to come back. to “The Momentary Thoughts of a Satiated Mind”.  I immediately went on a rampage to find my blog page.  I’m embarrassed to say, after fumbling through forgotten passwords and digital dust, I stumbled upon past entries that astonished me.  😉  When I read what I used to write back then, I began to see the genesis of my adventure to  intimacy(in-to-me-see) with self; the journey of discovering, awakening, and REMEMBERING who I AM!  I know now, what I did not know back then, that over the years, I have given myself permission to learn how to enjoy my own company.  I drew closer to Source, Creator, God, and began to address the areas that needed attention and needed healing.  The gift of being alone is priceless to those who open up to it!  Writing on this blog holds meaning for me.  I use this space as a vessel through which truth is expressed in warm, delicious and sometimes humorous ways!  It is my heartfelt intention that as you read along, you too may find something that resonates!

Deep within you...lies the POWER to choose!

Allow me to reintroduce myself…I am the Good Fortune…a woman who desires to continue on this life path living authentically, wholeheartedly, and unapologetically as me while offering pieces of my mind and heart as a gift to those who receive it!  😊  I truly believe that when we share our stories from a place of authenticity, we create ripples of connection.  Someone out there may hear my truth and feel a little more satiated with the way their thoughts and their experiences are unfolding.  As more layers of me gently unfold, and with Lent still fresh in my spirit, I find myself celebrating the risen Christ in a deeply personal way. I AM rising as well—to awaken and breathe life into the passions within me that have been quietly resting, patiently waiting for their time to shine.

In this Momentary Thought of a Satiated mind are the truths I’ve embraced and want to share:

  1. Incomplete cycles of action carry weight—not just in the mind but in the spirit. They take up sacred space meant for new visions to be born.  Review your own life and see what is present in your life that you have abandoned that still has meaning.

  2. I once despised small beginnings, not knowing that every humble seed is holy.  Now I understand: when the Spirit prompts, my obedience becomes the offering.

  3. Sometimes restoration is not a waiting game—it is a choiceRestoration begins the moment I say “yes” to what still matters to my soul.

  4. I’m never behind—I’m always right on time for my own awakening.  Trust God’s timing!

  5. Let go of what no longer serves you!  Sometime it’s as simple as letting go of an emotion that is present within you!  Return to what brings and gives you joy.  Return because it makes you feel alive!

  6. Solitude can be your sanctuary.  In the stillness, I discovered the beauty of being with myself.  I listened and heard.  I looked inward and saw.  I sat in silence and felt.  I realized that when you learn to love your own company, even the absence of others becomes a blessing rather than a burden.

Steps to support you in resolving your “incomplete cycles of action”:

Be still and ask:

  • Does this still hold meaning for me?

  • Is this something I still value in my mind, body, and spirit?

  • Does this still matter to my soul, or does this still hold meaning to me/for me?

    • If the answer is “yes”, make the commitment to return. To finish. To begin again.

    • Honor your "yes" with action!

    • Invite an accountability partner, someone who will lovingly hold you to your word. Create a structure and a consequence—not as punishment, but as a way to honor the sacredness of your “yes.”

Whatever you have abandoned and desire to return to—its waiting patiently until you are ready to say “YES” again or to simply RELEASE it completely!!

Your Turn….

What incomplete cycles of action exist in your life?  What do you choose now?  Partake in whatever BRINGS you JOY!  Make the CHOICE to take the action to complete it or to let go or release all the collection of “stuff” that no longer holds meaning for you - including emotions that deter you from JOY! Give yourself permission to be liberated!!

I offer this ACTS Prayer, which may support one in releasing incomplete cycles of action:

Adoration (Acknowledgement):

Divine Presence, You are the stillness in my storm, the Order in my chaos.

I honor You as the Source of all wholeness and guidance.

Confession:

I confess I’ve left some things undone—

dreams delayed, inner callings ignored.

I release the guilt and meet these truths with compassion.

Thanksgiving:

Thank You for Your patience and grace, for the wisdom in the waiting,

and the fire that still burns within me.

Supplication (Request):

Grant me clarity to see what needs closure, courage to finish what’s mine,

and peace to let go of what no longer is.

And So, It Is!

Food For Thought:

Reviewing incomplete cycles of action is about acknowledging and releasing the emotional weight of unfinished tasks to create space for new beginnings and a more empowered life. – Iyanla Vanzant
