The Momentary Thoughts from a Satiated Mind is a sacred space where Spirit speaks before the fruit ever shows. Where whispers of heaven plant themselves in voice notes, morning commutes, and friendly WhatsApp messages. Where prayer calls turn into healing sessions! Oh, and the thought, she’s sometimes that unexpected guest—showing up barefoot, bold, and right on time…even if I’m in yesterday’s sweats and not emotionally ready for company. 😅
Experience
Lived events or encounters—what happens to us, what we walk through, what we witness.
Knowledge gained over time—the kind you earn, not the kind you Google.
The act of personally feeling or undergoing something (yes, even the uncomfortable stuff).
Inner, subjective awareness—how life is felt, interpreted, and assigned meaning within us.
In short: Experience is life meeting consciousness—what happens to us and how it shapes who we become.
Now, if you’re wondering why I’m going on and on about such a familiar word, here’s why…While driving my son to the airport on New Years Eve, he casually dropped this gem:
“Mom, in this human experience, we barely take time to actually have the experience.”
I said, Mannnn… you are absolutely right. Because let’s be honest—we’re either rushing to get through what we’re experiencing, living five steps ahead in the future, or replaying the past like a rerun we didn’t ask for. Rarely do we just BE in the experience.
So, I made a new choice:
I choose to BE in every experience that comes forth in my life.
No overthinking.
No romanticizing the past.
No time traveling to the future.
Just presence. Just being. (Imagine that! 😊).

As the new year began, I found myself fully in the experience of discerning procrastination in my life—especially around things I’ve desired to do for myself since Jesus was a boy (yes, that long 😄). I had been asking Holy Spirit about this in my meditative moments for quite some time. And wouldn’t you know it—today, the answer arrived. Funny how I was contemplating the word experience on the last day of the year, and three days into the new year, clarity showed up.
And yes, three—my favorite number since forever. Coincidence? I think not. 😉 As a Minister of Spiritual Consciousness in training, I took a deep dive into marrying the word experience with my current quest to uncover the root of my procrastination.
Experience: A Metaphysical & Spiritual Perspective
At a metaphysical level, experience is the interaction between consciousness and form. Nothing is truly known until it is experienced.
Thought is potential
Experience is activation
Experience turns awareness into wisdom
It’s how the invisible (spirit, belief, intention) becomes visible (emotion, action, outcome).
Every experience is neutral—meaning is assigned by perception.
In essence: Experience is consciousness touching itself through life.

Spiritually, experience is our teacher, initiator, and mirror. It awakens the soul, reveals beliefs, exposes wounds, highlights gifts, and clarifies callings. And when experiences repeat? That’s Spirit saying, “There’s a lesson here you keep side-stepping, beloved.” Learn it!
Peace doesn’t come from avoiding experience—it comes from integrating it through a spiritual lens.
Nothing is EVER wasted:
Pain refines compassion
Delay deepens trust
Joy expands gratitude
Waiting strengthens alignment
No wonder I was led back to the scripture my Grandmother left with me:
Romans 8:28 — ALL things work together for my good. As I write this, I feel the presence of my ancestors, too. 🙏🏾

As I prepare to launch M.I.N.D. The R122 Movement Podcast in a few weeks, I now see clearly what my procrastination has been teaching me.
It was rooted in:
Fear of what I might discover about myself! There are still some childhood wounds, that I now choose to address, heal, and move forward with clarity!
Avoidance of discomfort by choosing the “comfort zone”— which is really uncomfortable, if one is honest with self! I think Chris Williamson put it best…He calls it productive purgatory: Not bad enough to be bad, not good enough to be good! Oh brother! 😅 😅
Self-crucifixion with the if I shoulda, coulda, woulda's, I told myself about myself, instead of just being in gratitude for embracing the ideas that come to me and for the small steps already taken toward manifesting these ideas!
Surrender perfectionism! No thing is ever going to be perfect! This allowed me to be aware, acknowledge, and to accept, that even the thing that looks imperfect is PERFECT just as it is!
Whew. Truth will humble you real quick. 😌
What I Now Know for Sure
The sacred function of experience serves these purposes:
Revelation – showing what is true within and around me
Transformation – reshaping my identity and consciousness
Embodiment – allowing spiritual truth to be lived, not just believed
I now know without a shadow of doubt, that my deepest desire is to have undeniable evidence that I am who I say I am and that I will do, what I say I will do for myself!
And that revelation came through being in the EXPERIENCE of getting to the root of procrastination.

Experience is your soul’s curriculum!
Life is the master classroom!
Awareness, Acknowledgment, Acceptance, and Action are the roadmap to
graduation!
Challenge will ALWAYS move me forward—just like my vision does!
I don’t need 100% certainty…I only need passion and one small step at a time!
💭Now, it’s your turn to reflect:
Give yourself permission to enter your sacred space…
Contemplate and "BE" in your own experience!
Write about your own EXPERIENCE with whatever is calling you right now. For me, it was procrastination. What’s calling you?
Remember Nothing is EVER wasted!
