BEHOLD...

The Momentary Thoughts from a Satiated Mind is a sacred space where Spirit speaks before the fruit ever shows.  Where whispers of heaven plant themselves in voice notes,  morning commutes, and friendly WhatsApp messages.  Where prayer calls turn into healing sessions!  Oh, and the thought, she’s sometimes that unexpected guest—showing up barefoot, bold, and right on time…even if I’m in yesterday’s sweats and not emotionally ready for company 😅

The word BEHOLD has been marinating in my head for a hot minute now.  You know how some words just won’t leave you alone?  They tap you on the shoulder, clear their throat, and say, “Excuse me… we need residency in your mind for a while.” Yes.  That kind of word.

It first caught my attention while listening to a sermon, and on that day, it made me stop mid-thought and ponder just this one word.  Why BEHOLD?

I found myself asking: When God is about to announce something big, why does He choose the word BEHOLD?

Take Isaiah 43:19 for example: “BEHOLD", I am about to do a new thing…”

Then, because my mind likes to do spiritual gymnastics 🏋🏽‍♀️, I drifted to Luke 1:31 and imagined the Angel Gabriel delivering the news to Mary:

“And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.”

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock…”Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock…”Revelation 3:20

Now when my thoughts start cartwheeling like this, I’ve learned it’s a sign—Spirit is communicating something, I’d be wise not to ignore.  So, I leaned in and dug deeper.

What I discovered is that BEHOLD is never casual.  In Scripture, it’s a divine interruption. A holy “Pause. Look. Pay attention. Follow Instructions”

It’s a command to stop, to see clearly, and to give focused attention to something sacred, something significant, something eternal brushing up against the everyday.

Instantly, I knew the Spirit was inviting me to pause and reflect—not only on what’s happening around me, but more importantly, on what I embody within me.

Because here’s the truth: I am an expression of all that God is… and yet, my humanness often grabs the steering wheel and says, “I got this.” (Spoiler alert: it does not.)

Standing on the edge of ending one year—one season—and stepping into another, this felt like a gentle but firm reminder to be mindful of what I carry within my soul.

I stand in reverent awe knowing that I move, live, and have my Being in a Force more POWERFUL, more KNOWING, more WISE than I can fully comprehend.  And sometimes—if I’m honest—I forget the vastness of His grandeur.  I forget how extraordinary it is that this Source deemed me worthy of the gift called life.  Too often, I take that for granted.

So, as you and yours pause to celebrate Christmas, I leave you with this loving charge:

BEHOLD‼️

...A New day dawns....
...A New day dawns....

Your soul is being summoned to awareness. Here's how...

1.  A Shift in Consciousness

When “behold” appears, something eternal is intersecting the temporal.  I’m being asked to stop operating from habit, fear, or ego and begin seeing with spiritual sight.

Behold = Look beyond appearances.

2.  An Inner Revelation Is in Motion

Though “behold” often introduces external events in Scripture (a birth, a covenant, a coming), metaphysically it points to an inner reality:

  • Christ being born → divine consciousness awakening within me

  • A new covenant → a rewritten inner law of the heart

  • “I stand at the door and knock” → my soul’s readiness to open

3.  A Call to Presence
“Behold” demands now-awareness.

It says:

  • Stop replaying the past

  • Stop projecting fear into the future

  • Attend fully to what God is revealing right now

In my humble opinion, presencereal, authentic presence—is what we need more than ever.  I sincerely believe that if we truly made space to be present with one another, we could eliminate suicide entirely… but that’s a conversation for another day.

4.  A Summons to Alignment
Whenever God says “Behold,” it implies:
  • What I’m about to see requires my consent, faith, and participation.

  • I’m being invited not just to observe truth, but to align with it.

So, here’s what “BEHOLD” is asking me to pay attention to in this season:
  • Where I may be spiritually asleep

  • Where truth is knocking but not yet welcomed

  • Where divine life is longing to be born through me

  • Where renewal is possible now, not later

💭Your Turn…

As you stand on the precipice of a new year, I invite you to reflect:

  1. What do you need to BEHOLD?

  2. Can you honestly say you are aware of the vastness, the grandeur, the magnificence of God?

  3. Where are you being invited into inner awakening, surrender, and trust?

B.E.H.O.L.D.

B – Become still

E – Enter awareness

H – Hear the Divine within

O – Open the eyes of the heart

L – Let truth transform you

D – Dwell in what is revealed

Finally, from the depths of my heart—thank you.  Thank you for taking time out of your life, your scrolling, your schedules, and your sacred moments to read, reflect, and journey with me here.  Your presence matters more than you know.

May your Christmas be filled with wonder, warmth, laughter, and holy pauses. And may you boldly, joyfully, reverently…

BEHOLD.

🎄✨ Merry Christmas to you and yours.🎄✨

Love,

Yours…xoxo
