The Momentary Thoughts from a Satiated Mind is a sacred space where Spirit speaks before the fruit ever shows. Where whispers of heaven plant themselves in voice notes and morning commutes and friendly WhatsApp messages. Where prayer calls turn into healing sessions! Oh, and the thought, she’s sometimes that unexpected guest—showing up barefoot, bold, and right on time…even if I’m in yesterday’s sweats and not emotionally ready for company 😅
A few weeks ago, a dear friend bubbled over with excitement about a song called Ebenezer — “Thus far the Lord has helped us” couldn’t stop talking about it, and naturally, once I listened to the song, I couldn’t stop listening to it either. (Let’s just say my neighbors now know the chorus by heart!) https://youtu.be/uSkqh3nAo4c?si=g0gnoKVIz-P8cZbc
Fast forward to this week: I’m absolutely intoxicated by the prayer chant, “Another Measure, Oh Holy Ghost—Another 1,000!” When I get curious about what I’m drawn to, I realize these melodies aren’t random—they’re divine cues tuning my soul’s frequency.
October is my birth month, and the month I became a mother some thirty + years ago—two sacred beginnings. This season always nudges me inward: to reflect, recalibrate, and recommit. And this year, I recognize something profound: I’m in my Mizpah moment.
In the book of Samuel, the prophet calls Israel to gather at Mizpah—a watchtower—to remember that God has been their deliverer all along. Metaphysically, Mizpah represents our high place of spiritual awareness, where we keep watch over our thoughts and emotions and stay conscious of God’s PRESENCE.

1 Samuel 7:7-13 Amplified Bible
7 Now when the Philistines heard that the Israelites had gathered at Mizpah, the lords (governors) of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the Israelites heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines. 8 And the sons of Israel said to Samuel, “Do not cease to cry out to the Lord our God for us, so that He may save us from the hand of the Philistines.” 9 So Samuel took a nursing lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the Lord; and Samuel cried out to the Lord for Israel and the Lord answered him. 10 As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines approached for the battle against Israel. Then the Lord thundered with a great voice that day against the Philistines and threw them into confusion, and they were defeated and fled before Israel. 11 And the men of Israel came out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, and struck them down as far as [the territory] below Beth-car. 12 Then Samuel took a stone and set it between Mizpah and Shen, and he named it Ebenezer (stone of help), saying, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.” 13 So the Philistines were subdued and they did not come anymore into Israelite territory. And the hand of the Lord was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.
So here I stand—on the high watch of my own consciousness—celebrating another turn around the sun. Thus far, the Lord has helped me. And if you see me shouting, “Holy Ghost, another 1,000!” it’s not caffeine; it’s pure Spirit power igniting my inner fire!
Friends, I can’t even begin to tell you how God has energized me over the years. I literally weep with gratitude when I see how He’s shaped me—the woman who writes to you now—with joy as my default setting. Being a conduit of joy has been my golden rule and my saving grace.

🌀When I meditate on 1 Samuel 7:7–13, I find myself asking you the same questions I asked myself:
Who has heard that you have gathered at Mizpah?
In moments when chaos swirls—when fear floods in—will you retreat, or will you rise? I have chosen to look at these times as the times, I’m being called higher! Mizpah invites us to rise. The part of you that is rising to your highest and most holy self, will encounter moments that will call you to gather your inner tribe—your prayer partners, your “ride-or-pray” friends—and lift a standard of faith. Remember, the enemy isn’t always out there; often, the enemy is the “inner me”—those old thought patterns trying to edge God out (E.G.O., anyone?).
Do you choose to feed that part of you that is unshakable where you know God resides?
When the enemy comes sweeping like a flood, the HOLY GHOST raises a standard…. Isaiah 59:19
Who is your Samuel, who cries out to the Lord for you and on your behalf and the Lord answers him?
The Israelites cried out to Samuel to intercede, and God answered with thunder! Sometimes you need a Samuel—someone who will cry out for you when your own voice trembles. Do you have one? If not, start your own prayer circle. You don’t need to overcomplicate it; God responds beautifully to authenticity and open hearts.
And when the victory comes—as it surely will—come out of Mizpah with confidence! Step forward knowing your “high watch” has cleared the fog of error thoughts.
No wonder I can’t stop declaring, “The best is yet to come!” I know that my latter end will be greater than my beginning, my greatest achievements and most significant contributions are yet to be made! Color me excited! 😁‼️
Because every time I ask the Holy Ghost for another 1,000, I’m really saying, “Expand my capacity, Lord. Stretch my faith. Ignite my purpose.”
Samuel raised his Ebenezer stone as a testimony—his stone of help. Mine is this post, this breath, this gratitude. Thus far, the Lord has helped me—and He’s not done yet!

What is the stone you’re raising in gratitude?
Here is another question: What Philistines—those old, sense-based, ego-driven thoughts—might still be camping out in your consciousness?
Identify them…
Write them down…
Then choose Mizpah. Go to your high place. Watch your mind with love and humor (because, honestly, some of our inner drama could win Oscars), and let God renew you from the inside out.
✨ Key Takeaways
Ebenezer — Gratitude for divine help thus far.
Mizpah — Spiritual vigilance and presence; the high watch of your consciousness.
Philistines — Sense-based thoughts to transcend; the inner illusions that edge God out.
That’s what I call the R122 Movement—a life of ongoing transformation GRATITUDE, standing on the high watch of your throughs as Paul writes in Romans 12:2:
> “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
Renew. Rise. Rejoice. — The R122 Movement begins within you.
If this resonates with you, join me. DM me on Instagram @coachmabel1 or email me at mabel@awlcoach.com and say, “I desire to be a part of the R122 Movement.” And together, we’ll watch, rise, and renew.
This B’Earth-Day, I’m filled with joyful expectation. I know the best is already unfolding and I can’t hardly wait to witness how the Most High will continue to work in, as, and through me. 💃🏾💃🏾
So, here’s to your own Mizpah moment. May you rise, rejoice, and shout your own Hallelujah on top of your lungs like no one is watching—then watch Spirit turn it around for you! 😉
Romans 12:2 (AMP)
And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

This piece feels like thunder wrapped in grace — a sacred summons to rise, watch, and remember. “Thus far, the Lord has helped us” — yet even here, He calls us higher. Your Mizpah moment speaks to the watcher in all of us, reminding the weary heart that gratitude is warfare and awareness is victory. I felt heaven breathe through every line. 🔥 Well done Nono.
Awe inspiring 🙌🏽🙌🏽
