God Is Rearranging Things

The Momentary Thoughts from a Satiated Mind is a sacred space where Spirit speaks before the fruit ever shows. Where whispers of heaven plant themselves in voice notes and morning commutes and friendly WhatsApp messages. Where prayer calls turn into healing sessions! Oh, and the thought, she’s sometimes that unexpected guest—showing up barefoot, bold, and right on time… even if I’m in yesterday’s sweats and not emotionally ready for company 😅
I’m Slowly Turning Into a JD, Y’all!
Not the one with courtroom credentials — but a Jesus’ Disciple. I truly desire to walk with the Word in my hand, and wonder in my heart! In the moment I am walking and waking up to a million questions bouncing around my sanctified brain. 😅
Lately, three questions have been lingering in my spirit like uninvited guests refusing to leave:
Why did Simon of Cyrene show up suddenly to help Jesus carry the cross?
Why was it Joseph of Arimathea — and not one of the Eleven — who claimed Jesus’ body?
And the most persistent one:
Did the disciples truly understand the will of God while walking with Jesus… or only after His death?
I mean — what was going on with the inner circle during those last most important moments of Jesus’ physical life on the earth?

When Heaven Plants a Thought in Your Amygdala…
I’ve been pondering these questions everywhere — in prayer, in traffic, on my couch. One afternoon, I was couch-bound — somewhere between prayer and procrastination —this verse whispered itself into my soul, honestly it’s been sitting (probably illegally) in my Amygdala. I’m not even sure if that’s where thoughts live, but hey, it sounds poetic, so let’s roll with it. 🤣
Romans 12:2 (AMP)
“Do not be conformed to this world…but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is—that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
That verse has stitched itself into my mind since 2023. And as I meditated on it last weekend, more verses joined the chorus:
2 Corinthians 7:1, 9-10 and 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
As I began to read these scriptures suddenly the tapestry that was woven in these words became a divine thread: The will of God!
Romans 12:2 says the will of God is that we renew our minds consistently.
2 Corinthians 7 says the will of God is to accord us with sorrow in order to produce a repentance without regret…
1 Thessalonians 5 says to be thankful continually for every situation for this is the will of God…
From these verses, I caught this simple yet seismic truth:
The will of God is always a drawing in… A pulling closer… A deepening intimacy…
When we lean in, when we align, intimacy grows. And suddenly, Romans 8:28 begins to manifest: “All things work together for good…”
Even the awkward things. Even the painful delays. Even the scary diagnoses. Even the questions with no answers.
What did the Disciples really know? Let’s circle back to my original question that came to my thoughts:
Did the disciples understand the will of God while walking with Jesus?
Truthfully? They loved Him. They followed Him. They ate, laughed, and cried with Him. They learned a whole lot from Him. Some were truly loyal to Him. But they didn’t always get Him.
Simon of Cyrene carried the cross.
Joseph of Arimathea claimed the body.
Peter, James, John? Silent. Literally MIA!! Even fell asleep in Gethsemane when asked to watch and pray for the hour had come!
The rest? Scattered. No where to be seen!
Even after years of walking side-by-side with the Son of God, they still didn’t fully grasp the assignment. Not until Acts 2!
Not until the Holy Spirit transformed their minds. And honestly — that’s us too.
I Used to Define God’s Will by How Life Was Going
I love God deeply, and let me admit: In the past I defined His will based on how my life was going.
When things went wrong I cried out: “Why me, God?”
When things went right: “Praise break!” I shouted on top of my lungs “won’t he do it”!!
What I am learning is that the will of God is wrapped inside whatever situation or circumstance I find myself in. Whether I call it good, bad, or ugly!
James says: “consider it all joy my brothers and sisters when you are faced with trials of many kinds”.
We often resist His will because we’re afraid of the cross that comes with it. We don’t want to be misunderstood, rejected, or crucified. But friends — we’ve been given authority through the resurrection to choose differently.
Resurrection Is a Daily Choice!
As I wrote recently, resurrection is not just an Easter event. It’s a moment-by-moment invitation to choose a different thought.
Einstein once said:
“You can live life as if nothing is a miracle… or as if everything is, a miracle.”
I say:
You can live as if you're always being resurrected. Because you are.
Every time we respond to self-doubt, jealousy, anxiety, shame, self-judgment, or fear with higher thoughts, we reclaim authority.
Take a deep breath.
Yes, right now! Take a deep breath!
That breath, is Spirit!
Every breath you take while going through an experience is a moment to ask yourself:
How might this be good for me?
What is God’s way in this situation?
Am I aligned with His will?
Remain still.
The answer is closer than you think.
He’s Rearranging Things. Even Now...
Lately, I can’t shake off this line from the song TARE by Kaestrings:
“I need to know Your Heart, oh God… I need to understand Your Ways, oh God… that my will may be swallowed up in Yours…”
That’s the cry.
That’s the alignment.
That’s the beginning of transformation.
I desire to be swallowed up in His will, not my own striving, strategizing, or overthinking.
If we’re going to walk in God’s will, we’ve got to clean house —
Not just the literal one (though, yes, sis/bro, vacuum that hallway), but the inner one.
Our minds, our hearts, our bodies… they are houses.
And sometimes they’re cluttered with:
Old wounds and inner-child tantrums
Generational pathologies
Lingering guilt, shame, and feelings of unworthiness
Lingering documentaries in our minds… stories we tell ourselves about ourselves, you know those thoughts which are like Netflix reruns
Your consciousness is your compass.
Side bar…the podcast that’s coming soon is all about this! Color me excited! Stay tuned in!
It’s not just telling you what’s true — it’s steering you somewhere. So, with each thought…Pause and Ask:
Where is my current train of thought taking me?
Is this the direction of His will… or just my worry?
Paul wasn’t being poetic for fun when he wrote about armor — he was giving us a Spiritual Dress Code: Ephesians 6:10–18 — “Put on the full armor of God…”
Here’s your spiritual dress code:
• Belt of Truth – Be in integrity.
• Breastplate of Righteousness – Choose right thoughts.
• Shoes of Peace – Be grounded, not reactive.
• Shield of Faith – Deflect the reruns of fear and doubt.
• Helmet of Salvation – Know who you are!
• Sword of the Spirit – Speak the Word out loud.
• Prayer – It activates the entire outfit.
Let God Rearrange It All
I am learning that in every moment God is rearranging things in my life! Not to confuse me —to prepare me. To shift my thinking, my posture, my response.
I’ve been given the authority to walk in His will. The question is — will I use it? — will I trust it?

💭 Your turn…Take a moment to reflect on this…
Are you making a conscious choice to renew your mind moment by moment?
Is your ego (E.G.O = Edging God Out) running the show?
Are you choosing:
Peace over pettiness
Gratitude over grumbling
Obedience over overthinking
Joy over perfection
Do you have the Spiritual Dress Code on— daily.
🌬️ May You…
Let your thoughts be swallowed by His.
Let your ways be absorbed by His.
Let resurrection become your lifestyle.
Because yes — God is rearranging things.
From the Inside and out.
Allow Him.
🙏🏽 I offer this Acts Prayer to Surrender to The Will of God…
Father, Mother, God, Holy Spirit
I acknowledge and affirm our Oneness.
In our Oneness is the Truth of my Being.
I accept that all things are working for my good.

Replace my thoughts with Yours.
Help me clean house — the fear, the shame, the guilt, the overthinking.
— the inner child, the self-talk, the feeling of unworthiness.

Even when I don’t fully understand.
I will to will Your Will Holy Spirit
