Movement

The Momentary Thoughts from a Satiated Mind is a sacred space where Spirit speaks before the fruit ever shows.  Where whispers of heaven plant themselves in voice notes,  morning commutes, and friendly WhatsApp messages.  Where prayer calls turn into healing sessions!  Oh, and the thought, she’s sometimes that unexpected guest—showing up barefoot, bold, and right on time…even if I’m in yesterday’s sweats and not emotionally ready for company 😅

I truly believe, I’m in a Kairos season. Kairos (καιρός) is a Greek word meaning the right, opportune, or divine moment— and what I thought and what I envisioned this moment would look like versus what it actually looks like?  Whew.  Not even close. Apparently, my imagination and God’s plan are not on the same group chat. 😅

So, as I sat with myself last Thursday I decided to start reading the book of Exodus again. In my mind, “Exodus” means movement—new chapters, leaving the old, stepping into the new.  So, as I sat to read Chapter 2 on Friday morning, I had a whole nother epilogue going on in my mind.  Naturally, I came in with expectations… and, of course, God gently said, “That’s cute.”

My prayer is simple: HOLY SPIRIT allow wisdom to flow fluidly through my mind and have Your way—and where ever You may send me, let Your GLORY be seen through me!  As I took a deep dive and did a hard read, there were several things that instantly stuck out to me.  Chapter 2 of the NLT version starts with these words, “About this time, a man and a woman of the tribe of Levi got married”.    It drew me back to the story I had been speaking about, that was in my thoughts, and in my prayers since HOLY week; the story of the four lepers at the gate of Samaria in 2 Kings 7, where Elisha declares, “About this time tomorrow…”

About. This. Time.

That phrase hit me differently this time.  It whispered one word: MOVEMENT.

It was like a light turned on in my spirit.  The signal often comes before the moment. And here I am, realizing the TRUTH in God’s word that—many are the plans we make, but it’s God’s plan that prevails.  I may not fully understand the movement I’m being called into, but one thing is clear: it has already begun. So now I’m paying attention to hear and see what God is calling forth for me now.

As I kept reading, Moses is born, and the Bible says his mother saw that he was a special baby.

And I paused there.  Really paused. Literally, I took a deep long inhale and exhale!

When I held my own boys for the first time… what did I see?  Was I truly seeing what God was doing in the moment, or was I just overwhelmed by the gift itself?  If I’m honest… I was wrapped up in the moment (and probably sleep-deprived too). 😅 It made me wonder—what did she see that I might have missed? Am I the only one who has ever been so captivated by the gift that I didn’t fully see what the gift was for? Do you see that you have “special” gifts?  Do you truly know what the gift(s) is for?

Then there’s his sister, standing at a distance, watching over him along the Nile to see what would happen to him.  That part stirred something deep in me.  It reminded me that OMNIPRESENCE is a real thing; God is never far away.  He watches over me day and night and for all the days of my life. Not only this, He has Angels watching over me.  The other day as I sat at my desk at work, something in me stirred me to say these words to my co-worker.  I said to her, Lisette, you are my angel.  Many of us go through life imagining our guardian angel is out there somewhere in the invisible, what if, our guardian angels are the everyday ordinary people we pass along the street, or those we are in relationship with on a daily basis?  It reinforced in me, that I am never alone, and His Angels are watching over me just as God is ALWAYS present with me.

We are never alone.

Moving on, the word of God says, while Moses was floating in the Nile… “Soon Pharoah’s daughter came to bathe in the Nile”.  Notice it says “Soon”.  Not early.  Not late. Right on time.  God’s help is always on time—even when I’m convinced it’s running behind schedule.  He is our EVER-PRESENT HELP in time of need.

When the word says, pressed down, shaken together running over, and when it says exceeding great riches, I often perceive this to be some kind of enormous gigantic thing, yet it is in the simple things we often think as mundane!  Moses mother experienced a pressed down, shaken together running over exceeding great richness!

Not only did God’s help come “soon”, God’s help even offered to pay for the thing that was already naturally bound to happen!  God’s help arrives in overflow.  Moses’ mother didn’t just get her baby back—she got to nurture him, protect him, and be paid for what she was already naturally called to do.

Imagine that.  Blessing on top of purpose.

It begged me to ask myself, NoNo: “What are the natural gifts within you that God wants to use in this season ? The things that feel so “normal” to you might actually be the very place where abundance flows.

Lord… show me.

As Moses’ story unfolds, I’m struck by how intricate God’s plan is.  There had to be chaos, for a mother to take note of the gift in her arms, which lead her to create a way to save the gift.  The gift is brought up in the elite society, so that this same gift would then turn away from the eloquence, to serve God in a movement so big, I don’t know if there has ever been one like it!

Chaos, danger, unexpected turns—yet all of it working together with divine precision.  From a hidden baby in a basket to a leader of a movement that would change everything. No wonder why the word says His ways are higher above our own ways! God’s orchestration doesn’t always look like peace and predictability.  Sometimes it looks like confusion, detours, and moments that make you say, “Wait… what is happening right now?”

But even there—especially there—He is moving.

So, in this season, in this unfolding chapter, my prayer is this:

Father, let me glorify and praise You in every moment.  Because I know there is a movement.  There is a shift.  There is a place You have already prepared for me.

You said You would guide me—to look to the left, to look to the right, and to walk in it.

I TRUST You.

You said You would increase my greatness and comfort me on every side.

I BELIEVE You.

You said the PEACE that surpasses all understanding will be mine.

I am GRATEFUL I am experiencing it!

And so, it is!

In closing, here is the sacred nectar I have gathered from this chapter alone—sipped slowly, like masala, ginger chai tea with the Divine:

  • Before I can walk in true purpose and taste the sweetness of liberation, I must first consent to my own healing. Yes… the inner work. (The kind no one applauds but heaven takes notes on.)  Purification is not punishment—it is preparation.

  • I am guided, even when I do not understand the map… or even when I feel like I’ve misplaced the map entirely.  God is not occasionally present—He is consistently involved.  Even in my “Where are You?” moments, He is gently replying, “Right here baby, relax.”

  • The greatest forces are rarely loud or dramatic. They don’t kick down doors—they become the door.  Nothing in my life is wasted, misplaced, or “oops.”  Even my detours have divine GPS.

    • A child in a basket becomes a liberator of nations. (Talk about humble beginnings.)

    • A moment of exile becomes the womb of destiny.

    • What appears hidden, delayed, or inconveniently stuck… is often divinely positioned with precision.

  • True transformation almost always begins disguised as chaos.  The cracking, the confusion, the “What is happening to my life?”—these are sacred and DIVINE openings.  The soul, when softened, becomes teachable… and when teachable, becomes luminous.

  • And yes… patience.  That quiet, stretching, character-building virtue.  Destiny does not rush, and neither should I.  Even my mistakes—bless them—have served as unexpected tour guides, nudging me back onto the path I was always meant to walk.

And now, this fresh revelation blooms within me:

I remember who I am!

My highest, most holy self knows—I have been doing the work.  I have risen, little by little, above the currents of fear.  And when life presents new waves, I no longer panic… I recognize them as part of the elevation.

So now, I sit—not in anxiety, but in joyful expectancy‼️

Front row.  VIP seating.  Watching the Divine unfold my next chapter with a kind of holy curiosity.

And I can’t help but smile and say—

Oh joy… oh rapture… look at God being God again!!

Thank You, God for being GOD!  xoxo p.s. I LOVE YOU!
